Growing by the hundreds in an Oak woods.There was no ring on a hollow stalk.spore print was white.Woods were also filled with Aborted Entolomas.

in pic #3. Looks pretty typical for A. mellea.

None of these had a ring as Kuo puts it.
‘’It has a fairly smooth cap, a sturdy ring on the stem, and fused stem bases that are tapered to points.’’
