Observation 63644: Stictis Pers.

When: 2011-01-25

Collection location: Strawberry Canyon, Berkeley, California, USA [Click for map]

Who: Danny Newman (myxomop)

No specimen available

Growing on madrone bark.

Some of the fruiting bodies have had their powdery white “crowns” sectioned away for the purpose of observing under the microscope. Alan should have some photomicrographs to offer as well as some shots through the dissecting scope which show more detail of the globular orange growths recessed inside the bark.
