My only reason for looking toward Gymnopilus is the gill color. I’m about 0% confident it’s actually that :)

Growing directly from wood.
Very rubbery/waxy feeling.
~1cm in diameter and ~4cm tall

…is known to grow in this area. Habitat is good anyway.
