Cap:
- Convex
- One of the samples faded to cinnamon from it’s original wine red color a few hours after picking

Gills:
- Appears slightly decurrent

Spores:
- light brown, cinnamon or ochre spore print
- appear slightly limoniform. Somewhat similar to description in Flora Agaricina Danica (Tab 128).
- transparent spores

Habitat:
- Growing on small woody debris in mulched area of yard
