Observation 64262: Hypoxylon Bull.
When: 2010-11-26
No herbarium specimen

Notes: I have seen this a lot. They are actually more of a chocolate brown – these had an autofix for better contrast. Does anyone recognize it?

I just got a new camera that can focus on a dime, so I will try to get some new photos – including some side-lit closeups so we can nail this one down. It can also bracket exposures, so no more ‘auto-correct’ in Microsoft Office Picture Manager!

neat one, Martin.

Frustrating when the camera doesn’t capture the true color, but on the other hand, that pink really caught my eye! ;)
