Trees

I don’t know for sure; there is a group of these old trees, dead or half-dead, that don’t look like cottonwood, which is predominant in the area. Perhaps willows, which I would have recognized if it had leaves on it.

Looking at my postings from Kelley Point, I’m seeing in Observation 130053 the same thing that I called Phellinus igniarius and wrote “on dead cottonwood”.

I could’ve done a better job with these, obviously. But I don’t live there anymore to go back and check.

Thanks to Herbert, Terri/Donna, and Judi for correcting my wrong id and trying to come up with the right one.

Sava, could you tell the tree species?

Just curious for my own edification. Photos are all great!
