Notes: rather large pendant foliose lichen on mossy rock outcrop beside trail in north-running ravine, fairly shaded most of the time at least, with Leptogium cyanescens

photos and descriptions add so much to the location pages for the Chamisa Trail and Dale Ball Trails near Santa Fe … they create a context, and then clicking on the “Observations at this Location” relates the sites to the organisms found there … very nice!

I was expecting nothing, but found an incredibly rich lichen flora. I don’t know how I’m going to get all my specimens home to put under the scope! :) Lovely trail, lovely area.

the hiking trail of my youth! i picked up an Agaricus pinyonensis there last time i walked it. there’s a good chance you passed my dad somewhere along the path.
