Observation 65509: Athelia decipiens (Höhn. & Litsch.) J. Erikss.
When: 2011-04-11
(37.7219° 119.7144° )
Herbarium specimen reported

Notes: The specimen was fruiting on the bottom side a well decayed ponderosa pine log. The very loose hymenium, lack of clamps, lack of cystidia, small, smooth (boring) spores fit the genus well and do not eliminate the species. The spores were a little small for the species description ( 4-5 X 2.5-3).
