Notes: This is a multi staged leathery fungus.
They are very tough.
I did not find any fresh ones.
I’m sorry I did not bring these back.

Yes, they are similar, except these had that Dr. Suess appearance of multi level caps or joints.

though yours is pretty far gone.

as a side note, use only Latin names for name proposals. if you’ve got a polypore but not something specifically within the Polyporus genus or Polyporaceae family, Agaricomycetes is a safe bet.
