Observation 65843: Byssonectria fusispora (Berk.) Rogerson & Korf
When: 2011-04-16
Herbarium specimen reported

Notes: The largest of the sessile apothecia in this cluster measures just 5 mm at the widest. The color is that of Aleuria aurantia, but the size, season, and appearance of the spores doesn’t fit that. The substrate is soil, with some sand and conifer needles. This specimen was rehydrated. When dried, the apothecia shrank so much as to be barely visible.
