I only noticed that after looking at the photos when I got home. It does look like blue-green bruising in the picture, but I didn’t notice it when looking at them in the flesh. I was being rushed to get in the car after leaving the zoo, so I didn’t get a chance to examine them very closely.
It’s probably just an artifact. I have not seen bruising reported on G. junonius in Australia before.
