Maybe Gymnopilus, don’t think it is G. junonius. But it could also be a Pholiota maybe… Need photos of spores to find out.

But it would help to taste it maybe. Gymnopilus that grow on wood are all rather bitter in taste, Pholiota I think are usually not. Don’t eat it, just taste it, spit it out.
