Notes: Growing on wood chips, probably deciduous.

Cap; expanded 4cm wide, 1.5-2.5 when unexpanded, conical at first, margin somewhat in-curved expanding with age yet still convex, center with rounded umbo even in age, margin uneven or a bit wavy, color; light yellow hued, center umbo darker-ocher brown,

Surface with patches of universal veil remnants, patches slightly darker then subsurface (i.e. below the patches), cuticle fibrous or slightly cottony like, especially when young, patches disappearing with age or numerous rain showers.

Flesh; solid and white in cap except near stalk apex where it is the same color as the stalk, stalk hollow centered, reddish brown fading to brown then cut open, fibrous and shiny in stalk. Odor; present, similar to some small puff ball species such as Bovista. Stalk; surface smooth or nearly so with very fine white coating, or appearing slightly shiny, darkening brown or slightly red where/when handled,fairly tough, hollow, base larger and sometimes bent, sand/soil adhering to base. Gills; white, free from stipe, sometimes with intermediates at cap margin, light and bright lemon yellow cream color. Spore print/deposit; White

note- I was told by a native that it is poisonous.
