Observation 66727: Fungi Bartl.
When: 2011-04-30
No herbarium specimen

Notes: Small fungi ((less than 0.5cm) growing on dead wood. Very difficult to get a real good image. Also like to indicate even smaller orange tipped growth (cropped) in last loaded image. Not sure if it is a fungal growth. It would have been only about 3mm in size. I can load it separately if required. The highlights showing on the second image are caused by water droplets reflecting light.

Even your caterpillars are way mo’ weirder!
Way to work in some of that cool OZ wildlife, too! ;)

Advice taken. I usually vote for the suggestion if the % is 50% on promising. I
in this case, voted on 46% to I’d call it that. I have returned the vote to Promising. I do like to acknowledge the suggestion and rate it if I think the naming is correct, but advise taken and thank you for your guidance. Noted fungi is 62%.

I would caution you against voting so aggressively for name proposals for which the voter has only partial confidence. The best name, in this case, is still Fungi sp. given the amount of information present.
