Recognized by sight: Brownish, small, gelatinous texture.

Recognized by sight: I think the substrate is coniferous wood e.g. from a pine tree. Also the fruitbodys of Tremella foliacea would be more wrinkled-lobate. I wrote about the species in the german Wikipedia – use Google translation services to get the text in another language:
