Notes: Very small, total fruiting body 6mm long, stipe 0.5mm wide, top 1mm wide.

Recognized by sight: don’t know similar species of puerto rico. i am not sure if it growing on insect neither. but ressemble a bit like a isaria

two pix at 20x, looks like some sort of insect shell there, but it’s hard to tell.

it’s probably not a xylariacae.

Isaria seems like a good guess to me. It seemed to be growing from clay soil in a root mass, originally I didn’t see an insect, although I just looked at it again and there may be part of an insect there.
