Observation 6696: Psilocybe zapotecorum R. Heim
When: 2007-10-11
( 1500m)
Herbarium specimen reported

Notes: This tiny bluing Psilocybe was found in a dry river bed on the west side of Nevado de Colima. The habitat for these mushrooms is very interesting – They like to grow from buried organic material and fruit directly from the walls near dry river beds.

This species is a member of the section Zapotecorum.
