Recognized by sight: Barssia oregonensis is quite common from this site. It is recognizable in the field by one or more apical pores leading into the gleba, by a pinkish to reddish peridium, by minute warts on the peridium, and by a typically hollow interior which gradually matures into a near solid mass at or near maturity.
