Observation 67205: Polyporus squamosus (Huds.) Fr.

When: 2011-04-14

Collection location: Fort Rhijnauwen and surrounding woods, Utrecht, Netherlands [Click for map]

Who: zack mikalonis (zackm)

No specimen available

The specimens are still there (as of May 10th).
When they were fresh they smelt good, i thought they smelt mushroomy with a hint of licorice (the licorice scent was noticed after i took a piece home), almost a little nutty. quite a shocking (and exciting) find when you are not expecting it!
