Observation 67659: Byssonectria fusispora (Berk.) Rogerson & Korf
When: 2011-05-10
No herbarium specimen
0 Sequences

On Tulip poplar stump 12" above the ground; the fruiting bodies are about 1mm across. The photos span 9 days. It occurred to me that the stump which is directly on a paved walking path through Rock Creek Park, may as Oluna pointed out in obs (63564), be a frequent stop for the many dogs walked there daily. Now I see that the fruiting bodies are spreading to places on the stump that might be out of the direct line of fire…, but there is a lot of nitrogen to go around I guess.
