Your specimens are hollow, whereas Verpa sp. are “stuffed” (see image 141184); also, your stems attach to the base of the “caps”, whereas Verpa stems attach at the apex of the cap, letting the cap hang free. Morchella semilibera are called “semi-free” morels because the stem attached halfway (or so) up the inside of the cap.
