Observation 67904: Russula Pers.
When: 2011-05-19
No herbarium specimen

Notes: Rotund thick stemed fungi. Cap was sticky enough to have dirt particles adhere. Slight pinkish tinge in close formed gills. I was relly surprised when I started to cut this fungi. Although it was a fresh specimen when I began to cut it the whole section crumbled in my hand. It seemed to have a brittle texture? Was found in the substrate as a single specimen and was about 3cm in height. The cap was almost the same. I watched for bruising but none was apparent. There was no distinct aroma.
