Observation 6792: Mycena filopes (Bull.) P. Kumm.

When: 2008-01-12

Seen at: Santa Cruz, California, USA [Click for map]

Who: Douglas Smith (douglas)

No specimen available

Notes:
These turned up at the id table at the Santa Cruz fungus fair, not sure from where. Id’ed by the over-all shape, small and Mycena like, the long thin stipe, the umbonate, darkened disc, small cap, with a margin that pulls back to the stipe.

Not entirely sure, but they do look like the other times I have seen this species, those times id’ed by Brian Perry. Unfortunately not this time, just id’ed by me.
