I wouldn’t have thought these were Gymnopus dryophilus. They do look similar to the observations you’ve mentioned. I’m going back to get a few of them this evening. Maybe I can get someone to look at them.

in obs 33829 where we have discussed it before. The size made me think it was G. luxurians, but it doesn’t have the same kind of cap structure.

if this is what Vilgalys & Miller meant by Collybia brunneola?
I don’t know if anyone has cared to propose a new combination of that name to Gymnopus – or if it’s a species of its own, separate from dryophilus.

Could obs 23586 & 33630 be the same?
