Bryoria is a difficult genus. I went through the Siskiyous last year collecting all the common stuff, and it all ended up being B. capillaris and B. glabra. The latter is shiny, darker, and bushier (less pendant), B. capillaris is entirely plausible. Would need chemistry and verification of presence or absence of tiny soralia hidden like little white nits among the branches. I forget what capillaris is supposed to have, but it’s probably moot in this case. So I’m just playing the odds.
