Notes: The combination of cap and stipe colors and orange brown spores are a pretty good fit for this eastern bolete, i.e., Xanthoconium purpureum

I didn’t realized that my proposed name, Xanthoconium purpureum, hadn’t registered in the system. Apparently it reverted to Fungi sp. by default. It’s been corrected and as a bonus I’ve added another X. purpureum from east Texas.
Fit for what??!
