Possible black staining polypore

We’ll cut a piece and see if it turns black. It is so beautiful. Thanks so much for the link. We’re so impressed with how it is growing and growing. It’s in our front yard at the site of what had been a large tree now has a sweet shrub planted there.

Nice … it is amazing how big these can get.

A bit later, rub or cut one of the lobes … if it blackens, might be the
black-staining polypore instead …
