Notes: growing under redwoods in parking lot, i.e. disturbed ground.

Yellow upon emerging, blackening cap as it matures, black spore print

gills free, as you can see in picture

Recognized by sight: Are you sure it had a black spore print? Those sure look like old, dry Hygrocybe singeri or H. conica.
