Notes: Soft fruit bodies seem to well up from the base of the oak like moist foam with patches of exudate.

There is quite a range of photos on MO – some are distinctly shelf-like. This thing has been there for the last 3 years at least. It is always a blob that spreads out as long as there is warm weather. Last years stuff looks like burnt asphalt.
