Never been able to figure or key these out. Pink bell shaped fruiting body on fallen and living pines- Eastern slopes of the cascades in Spring. Find these every year in spring when hunting for Morchella and Boletus species. 2-3 inches wide- Pink when young- usually lacking a stalk. Looks like a very large, hard, thick skinned lycogala.
