No herbarium specimen

Notes: Growing on hardwood in a swamp near the delta of the Pearl River. Note date more than 20 years ago. I have not seen it since. It superficially resembles Phanerochaete chrysorhizon, but has clamps and causes a brown rot.

Recognized by sight: resupinate, orange poroid surface,with orange cordons (rhizomorphs) and fibrillose margins. Beautiful fungus with soft texture.
