Recognized by sight: Very small collection. Like crenulata but smaller in stipe and size, HOWEVER had the same type of flakes in the gills the crenulata has. (not sure what these are called or if they have a name). Scales very powdery. Growing in grass.

This is a collections I found with Gary in central park. I forget what name HE came up with when discussing it with you. Do you remember?

of WAO. We have it frequently under a Pin Oak in our side yard here at home. Spores will separate it from A. crenulata if the cap color doesn’t.

We’ve been collecting it in the last week since returning from NEMF2011.
