Pileus: 7-18mm; Conic to convex with a broad umbo, margin non striate, distinctly undulated in aged specimens; Dark chestnut brown, hygrophanous.
Lamellae: Adnexed with a short decurrent tooth, close; Brown with an almost white margin.
Stipe: 35-45 × 1-2mm; cylindrical, flexuous; Dark reddish-brown, paler yellow-brown towards apex(need to check for caulocystidia), very dark, almost black towards base.
Habit/Habitat: Solitary or occasionally in pairs in moss at the base of Dacrycarpus dacrydioides.
Spores: Ovoid in face view, subamygdaliform in side view; Moderately verrucose with distinct plage and hilar appendage; Perisporium completely surrounding spore, utriculate.
Spore measurements taken in side view.

Average length and width =10.3 × 7.1µm
Average Q value =1.46
Cheilocystidia: Lageniform with an elongated neck, slightly capitate and occasionally strangulated; Arising from hyphae that run parallel to lamellae margin; Occasionally bifurcate.
37-65 × 7.5-14µm
Pleurocystidia: Similar to cheilocystidia but not as frequently capitate or bifurcate; Lageniform with a long neck, occasionally strangulated.
35-50 × 7-10µm
Basidia: Cylindrical to slightly flexuous and occasionally constricted in the middle; Yellowish granules or droplets as seen in light microscopy mounted in 3%KOH; 4 spored.
