Notes: I’m guessing a Coral Fungi like Xylaria hypoxlon, but not a confident guess.

coating the middle-upper portion of each stroma? if so, it’s unlike any X. hypoxylon I’ve ever seen. not a strong candidate shape-wise either. given the vast and generally underdocumented nature of the genus, my stone-cold certainty usually stops with Xylaria sp.
