Observation 7054: Psilocybe guilartensis Guzmán

No herbarium specimen

Notes: The mushroom was growing from the side embankment along Caimitillo Trail in El Yunque rainforest. The soil was a gray muddy clay soil. I didn’t notice any leaf matter or anything else it was growing from except the mud.

Spore size : 5.5 – 6.6 um

Recognized by sight: The cap and stem were both a dark ochre brown. Gills had a purple color. It has a very noticeable umbo and was growing from a grayish clay soil.
