Caps zonate, brown to brownish-orange with a lighter margin. Underside pale gray to grayish-orange or buff colored, lighter around edges, off white on fresh growth. All parts bruising dark red instantly after touching.
Effused-reflexed or resupinate on White Pine (Pinus strobus) logs and branches.
