Notes: Azonate, soft and wet, easily dimpled with the slightest pressure. Engulfing grass as it grows. One piece of grass easily pulled out without breaking – see upper left incision…, Orange-brown with granular surface – see enlarged detail in photo #3.

Phaeolus sp. seems to have a very wide range of appearance…, or should I say, it seems that every name for something like this is deprecated to P. schweinitzii. – I like P. Spongia.
