Observation 71454: Macrolepiota Singer
When: 2011-07-10
No herbarium specimen

Notes: The cap looks like Macrolepiota prominens (or procera), but the proportions and the timing are all wrong. I saw this at the side of the road at 30 mph. The cap is 6 or 7 inches and the whole mushroom is barely that high. I have not seen a single M. prominens (of the correct proportions) this year. It is too early. The annulus is missing, but it reads Macrolepitoa load and clear…, right?
