The flesh of the caps and stems were dark reddish brown. This could also be Coltricia cinnamomea but due to the rather more “distinctly zoned” cap and fairly decurrent pores, I went with C. perennis.
Noted that both have been reported in previous Observations as having been found at Point Reyes.
