Found growing from soil under Pinus virginiana in mixed forest.

Stipe is covered with a yellow powder.

I didn’t get to test KOH reactions on this one.

and thinking nothing about this mushroom would have suggested ravenelii at first glance.. however…

IG is correct about the veil remnanats on the margin. Granted I had to blow it up to full size to see this. Good eyes IG! For this I give a vote of could be.
