The photo was unintended, but it taught me something that I will remember. As you can see in the last photo, this was broad daylight, albeit shady, under the canopy of trees. The camera was set to aperture control, meaning that it was stopped down and with a flash. Thus it looks almost night in the background and the silvery down was highlighted. Try it; the stops work great when the flash is too much.
The cap color is truly spectacular! This hue must have a name of its own!
