Notes:
growing on rotting conifer log near snow banks. I can’t explain the odd brown dots on upper surface.

It definitely does not look the same. The Oligoporus has a top, which is just like a soft sponge, and a bottom, which is where you find a pore surface. Some others I saw were just developing, but they had an even, non-sticky surface. Not wet or oozing.
