One of several 2", fat, shelf polypores found on the lower trunk of a living Chinese chestnut tree. The shelf top was hairy, the margin was rounded and peppered with small worm holes, and the underside was convex and covered with very small white pores. On cross-section the white flesh was thick and an unroofed wormhole had a worm in residence.
