But good, I would have expected it to be somewhat yellowish. Thanks for clarifying that.

The actual color was closer to the color in the second photo

The two photos were taken using two different cameras, and they turned out completely different.

This is one of the reasons id by photograph can be especially tricky for lichens. Does this lichen have usnic acid or not? One photograph shows clear “milky yellow” coloration typical of usnic acid, but the other — of the same specimen! — completely lacks any yellowish tones. But going by shape, I’d (very tentatively) recommend C. arbuscula (now including Cladina mitis).
