Notes:
Very large bladder cup(note maple leaf and hand size in relation) dark olive green/black in color, fruiting under big leaf maple(Acer macrophylum).

Temp: upper 80’s sunny.

Not sure whether to place this in Sarcosoma, Peziza or maybe even Discina?

After looking at a few sites and referring to some literature in comparison with other Peziza, I agree with P.badia. The reddish outer surface, thin flesh, rather large size(3-8cm. wide) and olive colored interior all match up for this species. I was thrown by the odd “pimpling behavior” inside the cups.
