Blue ball with elastic skin and a white mass inside. Barely attached to the substrate (rotting log). There was only one on the log, and several others within a few meters on the ground, all broken and with not much of the white stuff inside. No idea what this is.

We did wonder if this was man-made, but the ball was well embedded in the rotting wood and so looked like it was growing from it. Then on the way home it changed its consistency somewhat, suggesting again that it was a living thing. Oh, well… It was fun.
The first thing I thought about when I saw this one was a pretty old broken paintball. I see these quite often here in Russia but I have never seen any blue ones :D
