could this be Aleurina ferruginea

Peziza thozetii is not well known in the field, but I think it generally has a pitted (or at least not smooth) surface inside the cup/disc, and the colour has a hint of purple-brown or at least is dark brown. The fruit-bodies in this observation are more orange brown, and there is a discontinuity around the edge of the cup/disc. This fits Aleruina ferruginea better. Spores would settle things easily – Peziza thozetii has spores with appendages on each end, similar to spores of Peziza apiculata.
