Observation 73243: Stemonitopsis typhina (F.H. Wigg.) Nann.-Bremek.

No herbarium specimen

Notes: These are growing on the end of a downed hemlock tree, they were there about three months ago then died out and are now returning. there appears to be small black round fungi growing under the stems of what I was told were “white footed slime” but have now Latin name for them
