Recognized by sight: Overall stature and color scheme; very thin tube layer (measuring no more than 1mm in young specimens) that seamlessly transitions into the stipe; slow and light bluing of pore mouths and surfaces upon handling; yellow flesh bluing lightly and slowly.
Based on chemical features: Context yellow-orange with 3% KOH
