one of the better eating species of Tylopilus.

I tried some of the T. badiceps… not my first time. I had some maybe 16 or so years ago. Not bad. Texture a bit soft, but good flavor.

Unfortunately I never found these in such a great shape here in Jersey. I am sure you didn’t leave them behind — I heard T. alboater is very tasty…
